Pat Walker-Fields was born in Tippah County, Mississippi. She spent her early years in the tiny hamlet of Rolling Fork Mississippi, a small Delta farming community where her Father was a farmer and her mother was a poet.

Her Mother began her drawing education early and Pat's love for art was born. After years of painting, I found and studied with the instructors-mentors with intense desire to learn and creat. I began my language of painting which resonated out of the struggle, and a beautiful inderstanding of seeing as an artist appeared. Many years later I can look at my work and say, I love what I do. I am happy to be painting.
